Kid's risking an 8 match ban with his choice of soundtrack.

Worst case scenario we lose Saturday and all those below us win, we still won't drop into the bottom 3. This week is a complete free hit, the real 6 pointer is next Saturday which really is a 'must win'. I think we 'mmust win' 3 more games out of our remaining 10 but I don't think any of them are must win games on an individual basis. Beat Leeds and lose to Wigan would do just fine for me. Would rather it be the other way round to be honest Bit like xmas we would have been better beat stoke and Boro and losing to Blackburn and forest

Results went in our favour today. Charlton have lost 3 in a row now, 2 of them really big games. Wigan and Luton's 0-0 draw hopefully will see the former stagnate in time for next Saturday and the latter start to drift, 6 points off safety now. Same can be said for Barnsley. Meanwhile, Hull are in deep trouble and show no signs of reversing their bad run.
A GD swinging win next week with results going our way and I think we won't see much trouble from then on.

Hull are gone. Worst side at Stoke this season Apparently they haven’t won a game without Bowen for two years ! Luton Barnsley and Hull for me

If the EFL have got any balls and take action against Wednesday this season then I think they'll be going down. Even if it was just 9 points I think they'll struggle as they're massively out of form and have a tough run in

Three points and we can relax a little. But I’m concerned about how erratic our performances are. The difference between our good and bad is huge.

Don't you think it might also be to do with quality of opposition, and the fact we were away? Wigan carry a similar risk to us as Charlton and Bristol imo. That doesn't mean we will definitely win but I'm sure we will carry far more attacking threat than we did against Leeds

Luton are fighting but can't seem to get the wins they need. Draws aren't going to do it for them. Barnsleys little revival seems to have ended and like luton they need wins. If you were a Hull fan you'd be pulling your hair out. Clearly thought they were safe so cashed in on probably their best 2 players. And it looks like it will send them down. Not just losing, but losing badly. Only thing they could do is sack the manager and try and get an immediate lift from whoever they can bring in. Yesterday was a 'free hit' for us. The big game is next week against Wigan. Win that and we're not quite there, but not very far off.

Updated and removed Reading as they look to be almost safe now.
2 big six-pointers on Saturday and we could really do with a win against Wigan with 3 tricky games after that.

Beat Wigan, Charlton beat Hull and I think your bottom three is sorted.
Hull Barnsley Luton
Massive game and the words '6 pointer' is being chucked about but think I agree.
A win and we are almost there.

Hull, Charlton, Boro, Barnsley and Luton fans will all be saying the same thing about their respective games unless the implication is that all those fans are resigned to them being de facto in the shit already

Opponent------------------------Things to bear in mind:
Wigan (H)-----------------------6-game form = unbeaten, only given 4 goals away
Notts F (A)---------------------On a bad run, not scoring many goals, will be frightened of being too slack to miss out on play-offs
Birmingham C (A)----------------Not winning many atm
Preston (H)--------------------Hitting poor form at the wrong time, will also be frightened of being too slack to miss out on play-offs
Reading (A)--------------------Starting to win games, should be out of trouble by the time we play them
Luton (H)----------------------Hitting fine form atm, desperate to win against us come April?
Sheff W (A)--------------------Poor form, no chance of play-offs, will they be that bothered?
WBA (H)-----------------------Should be on the beach, but still dangerous probably
Millwall (A)------------------I'm assuming they'll make the play-offs, so will be careful about avoiding injuries
I think out of those 9 games, 4 sides will be on the beach in some form or another. Can see us getting more points away than home. Will only be slightly worried if we lose against Wigan.

What if we lose to Wigan and basically put in a real half-arsed barely interested performance that the Cowleys appeared to have little idea howto turn around. PS Mainly to bump the thread as I'm afraid we're going to be interested for a good few weeks.

In one week we'll all be bored again - OK, bit surprised about Wigan Athletic, but I'm absolutely convinced our slick ferocity will be too much for both Notts F and Brum to withstand. Slick ferocity = success int second division!

2 wins since the restart for both Wigan and Charlton, and they are close to escaping. A big 7 games now for us to survive. Wednesday could still be dragged back in if they get a points deduction.

We’ve fatally underestimated the quality of this league
When we stayed up in 2013 by the skin of our teeth our team included smithies, hunt, Clayton, Norwood, ward, Vaughan, beckford
Our current team is not much better

When we finally arrived in the Championship from league One, back in 2012...we will all remember the 4 years we struggled against relegation..and here we are again, in 2020, struggling .
So how do we compare now with those battleswhich we survived, in respect of points on the board, league position, and final points gained from the last 7 games of the season ?
Season....points after 39 games..league position..points gained in last 7 games...final league position
2012/13 47 points...position 22nd..points gained 11..final position 19th
2013/14 46 points...position 16th..paimts gained 7...final position 17th
2014/15 44 points...position 18th..points gained 11..final position 16th
2015/16 45 points...position 18th..points gained 6...final position 19th
2019/20 42 points...position 22nd..
This could be a tough one...

And then there were 7. Wigan's 3 win's since restart means they are almost closer to the playoffs than the dropzone. A win tonight for Town will see us move up 3 places (albeit for 1 night until Hull and Boro face each other). Stoke's run in now looking trickier.
