I agree, Birmingham - Charlton is a massive game, I have a strong feeling that Birmingham might not win. A Charlton win would be really bad. Could be safe with the actual number of points. I'd also prefer any team to win between Hull and Luton. Preferably Hull I guess (1 point leaves them both in need of a last round victory).

Down to the last 2 games then other than Barnsley who look doomed.
Here's the run in for our rivals after 44 games
Us WBA (H) Millwall (A)
Barnsley LEEDS (A) FOREST (H) BRENTFORD (A)
Luton HULL(A) BLACKBURN (H)
Hull LUTON (H) Cardiff (A)
Charlton Wigan (H) Leeds (A)
Anyone above us are as good as safe now. I personally feel 1 more point will do it.

Clearly were going to the wire at Millwall but a defeat there may not mean relegation depending on other results. Saying that a point v WBA might be just the ticket depending on other results. I cant see us getting another point so it depends on other results. Maybe they can find something ? But I wouldn't bank on it. Looking at the run in my bottom two are Barnsley and Hull then its a close shave between Town, Charlton, Luton and Wigan (assume less 12 pts). So Charlton v Wigan is pivotal. I guess we don't want a draw in that one.

Good thing (I think!!!) Is going first on friday night. That will at least make it a bit clearer what we think we might want from the other results. Happy with wigan keeping their form going even if it means they are safe. Luton vs Hull is the one that really depends on what we do.
I know weve been really powderpuff and we cant see where the next goal is coming from but it's in our hands. Not where we wanted to be but better than relying on others. Let's make sure we dont have a 2001 scenario on the last evening of panicking about whos winning. That game against Birmingham is the single worst feeling I've ever had in 40 years watching Town

Last games are always odd
Are Cardiff chasing for the final play off spot
Are Leeds still fighting for promotion i.e. not already there
Do Brentford have chance of top 2
If answer to above is no then the fixtures take on different meanings - just the mentality of the game. Look at Liverpool since beginning champions v build up to it

Would accept a Barnsley draw at Leeds tonight..then Leeds lose/draw their next game and Brentford keep winning...sets it up nicely for a last game disaster as leeds bottle it and finish 3rd on an inferior goal diff to WBA ...and Brentford are champions..

Love how we're battling relegation and you come up with a scenario how Leeds balls it up and a scenario which could actually end up with us relegated. And we wonder why Leeds fans laugh at us.

Looking at the last 5 games played ,non of the bottom 7 have done any better than Town's 6 points gained...so while it looks like a crisis, and missed opportunites, in fact no one (apart from Stoke with 7 points) have managed to take advantage of our inept efforts...

So 51 points is now a guaranteed safety mark (taking into account Wigan's deduction). So Stoke, Birmingham and Boro can all secure safety this weekend by avoiding defeat. Alternatively Charlton with a win will get both themselves safe, and also Stoke, Birmingham and Boro.
Town can secure safety with a win tonight. A point can also be enough if Charlton beat Wigan, one of Hull or Luton wins and Barnsley don't win.
Barnsley can be relegated if they don't beat Forest and the results go against them in the Charlton/Wigan and Hull/Luton matches.
