Telegraph reporting we made a significant bid for him in the last few days of the window. Interesting central midfielder MK Dons fans seem to rate highly, wonder if its one we return for in January.

Fits the bill over 40 appearances at the age of 21

He's decent. Would be an interesting option if we are starting to think about a long term successor to Hoggy.

Always interesting to see who has "liked" a post.
Hopefully we'll be back in for him in January or next summer.

Why are we leaving it until the last few days? If we thought he was good enough at the end of August surely we felt the same at the start of the month. Or were we hoping to low ball MK late in the window in the hope they panic and accept

Was this assuming LOB was going to be sold? I can’t keep up if we are allowed to pay transfer fees or not.

That's reinvesting transfer fees.
I'm assuming the money for this must have come from an alternate source, same as the loan fees and the fees for Sorba and Toff.

We paid transfer fees for Toffolo, Pipa, Thomas, Koroma & have to cough up for Sinani at the end of the season, we also had a compulsory buy of Mbenza to pay for since PH took over the club.

I find it very confusing and feel bad for some of the names i’ve called Phil when i clearly don’t know the full details.
I heard the lad from West Ham was actually our second choice striker but paying for our first choice wasn’t black and white.

Looks to have a bit of everything. Strong in the tackle, energetic, good passing range, good vision.
This from 2 years ago:

"Really strong boy in the middle of the park who can break between the lines. He's a little bit rushed when the ball is at his feet or he has time. He can definately make the step up though"
From a dons pal of mine.

It says here that Sinani is an option not an obligation to buy. www.htafc.com/news/2021/july/loan-danel-sinani-joins-from-norwich-city/

I don’t get why Town should’ve put in a bid now, after Kasumu has been taken out for months with a hamstring injury. Haven’t we had enough of those ourselves?

Looks a decent player. Strong in the tackle and looks like he’s got a good engine.
Would be happy with that in January. Replacement for Hoggy in the long term.

I find that hard to believe. Even knowing what we knew back then, exercising an option to buy would have been madness beyond belief.

I find that hard to believe. Even knowing what we knew back then, exercising an option to buy would have been madness beyond belief. I can't be the only one that remembers that DH said that the 'option to buy' was basically a tax fiddle for the selling club to delay the transfer fee by a year. The option to buy wasn't an option at all. Having said that, with that DH has said and done since that could all be bollocks 😉

It's why I'm sceptical about the term "option" rather than "obligation". There's no way that we would have gone ahead & made that deal permanent if we didn't have to. Not saying Sinani is in the same bracket, BTW. Nor was Kachunga who (at the time) was well worth the money.
