It will cost us more than £60k, but will still represent good value.
If we can't negotiate a fee with MK Dons it will go to a tribunal. My guess is MK will want something in excess of the £300k they were ordered to pay Swindon for Twine last summer.
Last time we were in a similar situation to this, we settled at around £500k with Southend for Jack Payne. The previous occasion a tribunal ordered us to pay an initial £275k for Oscar Gobern (which Southampton were pretty unhappy about).
I suspect the £60k on Twitter is someone's incomplete understanding of the EPPP compensation formula, which isn't applicable here anyway.

I reckon we should just get it done and announced, to calm the bedwetters on here, and let the club worry about what the compensation will be. Just saying 🤷♂️

Yes - official title these days is the "Professional Football Compensation Committee"

Fuck me . Supernoscoop has discovered twitter It's a more reliable source than the "news networks" tbf. I expect the quality of his rumours will improve as a result.

Happy with this. Midfield looks sorted now and will still be solid if O'Brien goes. Imagine if he doesn't though! A midfield 3 of Kasumu Russell and O'Brien would be very well balanced

undisclosed but he seems to be well rated and definitely one for now / future who looks to fit the current Town mentality ...

Plays to a decent level already, has loads of potential, quick feet, gets stuck in, gets booked in most games, injured a lot.

Merged both Kasumu threads and moved the entire thread to TOTT, as the lad has signed.

“What a great signing!!” “Why we signing shit from League One?”
Just admit it, no one has a clue if this chap is good enough.

Sounds like a promising talent, but with injury issues.

Sounds like a promising talent, but with injury issues. Hopefully with the investment behind the scenes in medical and individual coaching etc we can get this lad on the pitch more often than not.

Makes sense if he’s virtually for nothing, like you say we have invested behind the scenes and seem to be able to get more out of players than other clubs whether that he performance wise or fitness wise or both. Seen a lot of comments saying one of best midfielders in the division (league 1) if not the best of his type when fit. Played 23/24 games last couple seasons,if we can get 30 out of him and improve him it’s a good signing.

Sounds like the long term replacement for Hogg.
Good luck to the lad 👍
