He looks good on that highlights reel... He looks almost identical in playing style to Kavlin Phillips

Everyone looks good on their highlights reel....even Diakhaby and Mbenza did. Diakhaby actually didn’t. His scuffed, mis- hit finishes on his were as weak as fuck. But we still signed him.

They were both truly unbelievable signings. They are the type of Players that will be in a local paper as signing for Farsley or Ossett United. It is one of life’s mysteries how this happened and how we signed them both. It really is.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.. Monaco when they were Ligue 1 champions signed Diakhaby for 10m. Who had a record of finding gems like Bernardo Silva, Mendy (obv terrible bloke, but sold to City for 50m. In hindsight it was a shocker and an absolute waste of money but it’s far easier us making a judgement in hindsight and not knowing all the factors beforehand.

Some very complimentary comments there, we may have a player on our hands.

This fellow's clearly there to compete with Hogg. Downside is his Injury record and yellow cards but upsides look many - he's got the footballing ability that Hogg has never had - Hoggy receiving the ball from the keeper has us all bricking it - this chap's touch and movement looks excellent.

Yellow cards are a given playing that roll. I put a tenner on a Hogg card every time he plays, and have done well with that strategy !!!

He looks good on that highlights reel... He looked like a poor man's Edgar Davids to me , that will be more than good enough for the championship, staying free of injury seems to be the main concern and if he does I think he will turn out to be a good signing.

Well we were warned about him being injury prone…. Schofield on Radio Leeds said it’s his Hamstring and didn’t look good so suspect that’s a month or two out.

He was supposed to be the O’Brien replacement. No-one else seems to fit that mould in the squad. Doesn’t seem great business if he is injury prone. O’Brien rarely got injured. Have we made a balls up on this one?

Why would a club with such a limited budget take a risk on an injury prone player. There were tons of decent midfielders available on free transfers yet we go for one who spends a lot of time out injured
Might work out long term but it'll have involed a lot of luck if it does going by his career to date

I still think Mbenza had the talent but terrible work rate, attitude, and not a team player. Could hit a great dead ball. Diakhaby had really poor technique that was masked by the team he played in at Monaco. He had a different kind of bad attitude to Mbenza, he seemed incredibly meek for a footballer and lost confidence at the slightest inconvenience. There was about 10 minutes spread across 4 or 5 games where he looked competent. Somehow 13 mil on Mbenza was a bargain relative to what he brought to the table
