Well the after shock of the 0-4 FA Vase defeat spilled over to a shock home defeat to Shildon last Saturday..but fortunately 2nd place Campion also lost.. Then the big one last night , Campion away..and Emley lost 0-1.. 3 defeats on the trot now, not helped by the injuries sustained on that diabolical pitch at Worcester.

So things hotting back up again at the top of the table, Campion just 3 points behind Emley...However Campion have just 4 games left to Emleys 6..

Next up on Saturday Barton Town (16th) away, then another midweek game on Tuesday at home to Albion Sports (4th) ..

Incidentaly, Emley's last home game of the season is against Golcar Utd..could be party time..

Four opponents in the places directly below them in the league with 2 away & 2 at home, Golcar have a slim chance of p/o with 4 at home & 1 away (well, Emley) to play......Emley could do with the captain & top goal scorer back asap to complete the league/cup double.

Despite an improved second half performance Emley looked rather toothless last night. As mentioned above they are missing some key players. Fingers crossed they should be able to get over the line.

Steady away win at Barton,5-0, while 2nd placed Champion only drew on Friday night.

Could be 99% over on Tuesday if Emley win at home they'll be 8 points clear.

That would need Campion to win all 3 remaining games and for Emley to lose all 4 of their remaining games..

Emley five points from the title are at home tonight against top 5 side Albion Sports (Bradford) needing points to secure a play off spot. Saturday Emley travel to 2nd bottom Goole while 2nd placed Campion are at 4th place Rossington Main.....Hopefully the title party to start around 5pm & continue over Easter break.

A win for Emley tonight would leave Campion having to win all their 3 remaining games...overhaul a goal difference of 27 AND for Emley to lose all their remaining 4 games...so mathematically, correct...but tbh it could be in the bag tonight .... Campion still have to play Albion (a) 5th, and Thackley (h) 6th...   but yes...Goole away could be the offical party time, and so well deserved.. There's still a League Cup quarter final to come too..

Emley have been drawn away to Rossington Main in the league cup Semi final on Tuesday 23rd April @7-45pm......The final to be played at Scunthorpe Utd on Wednesday 8th May.

If anyone knows any season ticket holders of other clubs, Bradford Park Ave are letting all EFL season ticket holders in FREE on Saturday, they still have a slim chance of staying up, this also extends to rugby league season ticket holders (presume it's because West Bowling rlfc share the ground), also any Town fans who are too nervy or cannot be bothered turning up at the Smiths on Saturday could also pop along!!.

Club rewarding the players with 4 nights in Portugal...next season will need a bit of recruitment though as the next level includes Academy lads from some top teams..and a lot more travel ..Most players have jobs and getting more time off isn't easy so may choose to stay at this level with other local clubs..(Golcar maybe) ?

Park Avenue are already down. Great setup at Emley, they deserve to do the league and cup double this season, and hopefully do well in the league above next season.

NCEL Division 1 title winners Parkgate FC from Rotherham defeated PL runners up Campion FC 2-0 last night to set up a meeting with NCEL PL title winners AFC Emley next week.

Maybe the (so called) professionals at NYS & JSS should go along & support the local amateurs to watch how its done.........Fat chance.

Not quite true. This final on 8th May will be their 5th game since 6th April but I get the sentiment that they have been on the beach (albeit more likely non league Skegness than the Premier Maldives) since wrapping the league up back in March and it will be about a fortnight since they last played. The fact their opponents beat Campion suggests it should be a close game that could go either way.
