Emleys' first FA Trophy appearance for 22 years apparently... should be a tight game this with both clubs having identical NPL Div 1 East league records thus far..

Into the next round of the FA Trophy a fortnight today with a comfortable 2-0 win over Dunston last night, it means the top of the table game clash at home to Cleethorpes (21/9) will now be rescheduled.......A couple of local games at Liversedge (14/9) & Brighouse (17/9) at home before then.

Emley brushed aside Liversedge at Clayborn (2-0) to stay 2nd in the table, Ossett lost at home 1-0 & Brighouse Town had a day off to prepare for the abandoned rematch at Emley on Tuesday night (FREE entry for all)......Home wins for Penistone, Golcar & Shelley in the NCEL.

Probably a few more that that to be honest as a few will have walked in without being counted. There was a queue at the entrance where they seemed to be keeping track of people coming in, but some people just walked straight past and probably didn't get counted.

Ossett welcome Bradford PA in the same cup while two teams defeated by Emley this week meet at Brighouse Town (v Liversedge)......Golcar are at home in the league & Penistone visit Abbey Hey in the FAV cup.

Missed the 1st game of the season in the FAC but since then Adam has played every minute......No goals, one booking.

Made it six wins from seven with a 4-0 victory at Bishop Auckland today to stay top on 19 points, a point behind in 2nd place is Belper (Pd 8) who beat Ossett away 2-1, 2 pts behind in 3rd is Grimsby Borough (Pd 9) who won 3-0 at Brighouse.......Emley visit Pontefract Colleries (13th) on Tuesday night.

A disappointing defeat at the weekend with a poor second half performance after taking the lead first half but bounced back midweek with another victory to stay top of the league.

They were done by the North Ferriby (3rd) super sub who scored two in two when coming on after 75 minutes, it was a good 1-0 win midweek in another tight game........Ossett may be bottom of the league but the FAT run shows they can perform on the day, could be close?

I was looking at Emley fixtures the other day & they have some decent away days coming up before New Year.

A trip to Newcastle on Tyne a week Saturday to play Heaton Stannigton, then on the 16th Nov they're at Sheffield (the really old one) followed by two seaside visits to Bridlington (30th Nov) & then Cleethorpes (Fri 13th Dec).......Brighouse Town away on NY day, I can think of a lot of good pubs at all those fixtures, enjoy Pewits.

Decent game last night, despite the lack of chances. Both defences coped well, especially the BPA right back (Kareem Hassan-Smith, apparently ex Town), against Amir Berchil who usually takes the piss down the left.

Decent crowd, awful officials, both ways but probably more against BPA. Still reeling from the £13, like every other Emley fan there listening in the bar before the game!

Pretty sure I saw Ķareem Hassan playing for Town and Emley as a trialist. Was told his Dad's an actor and mate of Lee Clark's. Don't think we offered him a contract.

Oops just looked him up. It was a different Hassan I'm thinking of.
