0-0 Point away from home against 5th place Bradford Park Avenue still top with Cleethorpes 3 PTS and 7 goals back in second but they have a game in hand. Emley play them at home Tuesday next week.Should be a bumper crowd at the Welfare tonight for the top two meeting......Hopefully Emley still top at the end of the day, possibly by 4 points?

0-0 Point away from home against 5th place Bradford Park Avenue still top with Cleethorpes 3 PTS and 7 goals back in second but they have a game in hand. Emley play them at home Tuesday next week. I was looking at Emley fixtures the other day & they have some decent away days coming up before New Year. A trip to Newcastle on Tyne a week Saturday to play Heaton Stannigton, then on the 16th Nov they're at Sheffield (the really old one) followed by two seaside visits to Bridlington (30th Nov) & then Cleethorpes (Fri 13th Dec).......Brighouse Town away on NY day, I can think of a lot of good pubs at all those fixtures, enjoy Pewits. I live about 10 mins round the corner from Heaton Stannington or ‘The Stan’ as everyone calls them locally. Sometimes pop round to Grounsell Park to watch their matches and have seen them play a Lee Clark managed Blyth Spartans in the past. Very well run community club who’ve had two promotions in three seasons and so are doing well to be in 15th given the rapid rise to this level. Great little club house with a bar and they also have the Stan Can Van for beers. Elliott Anderson’s brother Louis plays for them and we saw Elliott at the play off final in May before he moved to Forest. Sheffield FC play in the town I grew up in (ironically in Derbyshire not Sheffield) and they’ve plans to relocate back into Sheffield at Greenhill. However, the current ground backs onto The Coach and Horses which last time I was in was a decent Thornbridge pub. Started my stag do there at a Sheffield FC match before heading into Sheffield for a night out many years ago…

A surprise home defeat to Garforth, 0-2 in front of almost 600 saw Emley miss a chance to go top again...and are now 3rd. 3 Home defeats a bit surprising for Emley (from 8 games) but remain unbeaten away from home with 6 wins and 3 draws and hope to improve that on Saturday at 2nd bottom Sheffield. Emley are having an incredible season nontheless having been promoted to this level only last season. The top 2 are Cleethorpes and Belper, both just 2 points ahead but each with a game in hand.
