So after today’s complete kick in the nads I feel we are done & dusted. Can see us effectively needing to win up with Birmingham having Rotherham next weekend. And we’ve only won 9 games all season. So we aren’t suddenly going to go back to back wins against Swansea & Birmingham. If anyone expects us to be pushing for promotion in league 1 will be in for a huge shock. Can see us languishing around the bottom half of that league for a few seasons at least. Ah well at least Stockport away is a good day.

It is going to be tough, but we need to hold onto a core of players that will be good for the league below.
Healy Radulovic Rudoni Wiles Koroma Pearson Turton Spencer Balker Nicholls
Of the rest, some need to be offloaded, and others I expect will be sold.

No but can you honestly see us staying up this season. And regarding league one the last time we was there it took us 10 seasons to get out of it. It is a terrible league to get out of!!!

Haven’t seen us play as well as Brum did today for a bloody long time. Just can’t see us beating them, they’re far better than us. League one beckons.

The report says Coventry were on semi final watch and were truly woeful, “ far better than us” they have ONE point more, hardly have the look of Real Madrid.

Effectively two points with goal difference. We beat Wed 4-0 not that long back. If things are the same by the time we play them, the same margin of victory overturns that advantage. I’m not daft enough to think such a score will be easy, but it’s not as though we have to beat them 8-0 to reverse the GD.

Could all be very different again come 5PM next Saturday. It could be but the probability is that it won't be. Swansea may well be on the beach as it were, we'll have to wait and see but ones thing for sure that the pressure is huge on the remaining 3 games.

If anyone genuinely still thinks we're staying up then fair play. I'll be there supporting the lads but if we have to watch those Brummie twats send us down for a second time in a few weeks time, I might have to pack it all in.

It's still in our own hands. It's whether the players have the balls to see it though that worries me.

If we can maintain today's efforts we will stay up It’s not just effort though is it? Yes that was there today, but there was precious little ability, highlighted by our failure to make simple passes that should have led to good chances. All the talk has been about the penalty, but in reality it should have made no difference as we should have been 2 or 3 ahead if the players could actually pass to each other. It was just the same 1st half v Preston and god knows how many matches before. The players are simply not good enough.

I know there is no guarantee of challenging but what would you prefer next season
A) A relegation battle in the championship B) A title challenge in league one
Feels to me like the club needs relegation to reset and start again. Each season we dodge it just delays it until the next.

Just don’t feel like he gets English football/sport. I could be wrong but the amount of bad decisions and naivety this season would suggest otherwise.

This notion that we will struggle in league one is nonsense imo. It's a poor division with a lot of poor teams. Recent history indicates that a lot of clubs do bounce back and yoyo. We certainly won't be double dropping or be in any danger of doing so. Let's be honest even with a poor Championship squad we should be nowhere near relegation if it weren't for horrific decisions on the management front. We've lost 27 points from winning positions. That's not withstanding the non pen at Rotherham, utter joke today and shed loads of injuries throughout the season. We should have been safe in February.

We have been crap and we weren’t safe in February. The performance of the club as a whole (not just players) has been nothing short of shambolic this season. So shambolic it gives no confidence that they will somehow manage to turn it around in a league below.

I agree, we've had a new regime who've made mistakes some of which have been big but we've had atrocious luck with refs and in particular penalty decisions and injuries which have been horrific.

The bad decisions started under the Hoyle regime and have continued under the Nagle one. Completely spunking the Prem money - Hoyle Not backing Corberan after the play off final - criminal - Hoyle The ludicrous decision to remove Warnock when they did - Nagle. 3 major f*** ups that have lead to one outcome, our current one.

Our fate is still in our own hands. Our Championship status is ours to lose or pull off the Great Escape part...fuck knows.
Oh for a season of mid table mediocrity.
