Reading gave Nabby a 4 year contract. I don’t think even his most ardent supporters on here would have advocated that. Maybe we did try and extend his time with us but he wasn’t happy with a one year extension or whatever we might have offered and wanted more. If so he’s been proven right that better was out there. I’ve no idea how it played out but it does make me smile (well more of a weary grimace really) that the majority assumption on here is Town were trying to do it on the cheap or that Sarr would have stayed if he was offered an extension. Closet Reading supporter by any chance? Although you are correct that a 4 year deal was probably well out of the question. Then again, we do not know the finer detail of salary. 4 years on a lot less is probably the same as 1 year on a lot more. |

I was there that day, remember behind the away end being flooded before the game. Totally got piss wet through, but if my memory serves me right behind the goal there was no roof. I too was there, my recollection is there was a bit of a roofed area but not big enough for everyone to get under. There was a small section of roof, but it was in terrible shape, the hole right above us was funneling the water into a stream. You were better off not under it. |

I would just like to say, that I WAS one of those 2,000 fans. Not a mysterious one that saw us get beat 10-0 by Man City or whatever. The rain was pouring down through a hole in the roof on me head the whole game. BUT... I had had the best fish n chips ever before the game, so I wasn't too angry. Are you sure you were there? It was 10-1 not 10-0. You see that bit "or whatever" is because I wasn't there and even though I thought we had scored one I couldn't be arsed to check  I was, however, at the Shrewsbury game |
