We have to do something with the midfield - we are just surrendering the most important third of the field. We cannot allow Luton to come strolling through the middle.

Loolllzzzzz fucking protest.....lollllzzz. Go on then, go glue your face to the outside lane of the M62. That'll teach us all. Fucking protest. That is the funniest thing I have read on here in a decade - still laughing now...

And as if by magic....the shopkeeper appeared. TBF Keith, I think you've moved a whole thread rather than one post. This disrespectful poll doesn't deserve to have people believe it merits 30 pages of discussion. Not in the vicinity of being impressed by MF but this poll plain and simply isn't fair. Thanks for spotting that Andy, that's what happens when you don't have your right glasses on. Fixed it now.

Of course I dearly want it to work out for ma fellow Scot Mark Fotheringham and any Huddersfield Town boss football from John o’ Groats to Timbuktu but sometimes HTAFC put lots of faith in young managers / coaches - Foddy is 38, Siewart was even younger I think, and Carlos was young as well... I think (in fact I know) that The Championship is one of the most unforgiving Leagues in the world and maybe a club with a smaller budget like Town could have been looking at an older head with more experience perhaps... However Mark Fotheringham it is and he’s only in the door and we must back him as best as we can for now and the next few months at least... By giving him a three year deal, it’ll cost plenty if they have to pay him off, either that or they want him here even if we heaven forbid are relegated, but anyway onwards and upwards for Mark and HTAFC ! Shit !!!! - I have put this in the wrong thread - it was meant for the ‘How long will Mark Fotheringham be at Town for’ - if the admins can move it to there that’d be great ! And as if by magic....the shopkeeper appeared.

Dropping a player after being MOM must send a really poor message to the rest of the squad. Three days in and he makes a mistake like that, not a great sign If he plays Russell on Tuesday I'll be very disappointed in the manager. I think he'll play Hogg and I'm hoping that he plays Camara in front, but I'm not optimistic. I think coaches like players to really bust a gut in training and perhaps Camara doesn't do this. If he starts Russel ever again I will be disappointed in him. Shocking again today, strolling around in the middle pointing away. He is single handedly demonstrating how much we miss LOB in the middle of the park. It was his woeful (backwards) pass that caused the third goal then he just jogged back watching that Reading lump amble towards our goal. I could have caught him myself hopping on one leg.

What I can’t understand is why speculation about the next manager is on the main board, while speculation about players has to be on its own sub-board. To curry favour with the admins, I’m think we should have a new sub-board and/or more stickies. Speculation over - new sub board crisis averted, curry on with your business as normal.

DATM is mainly meant to be a football forum, so surely TOTT needs to sit at the top of the boards in the General area, followed by the Transfer board. The politics sub-forum needs to be under the Off-topic sub-forum, not at the top as it currently appears. Fixed

Here's a strange thing. I can't see any link to the politics board anywhere but when I go into my notifications & click on any of the threads mentioned, it takes me there. I can then get to the board through the link at the top but can't go anywhere else from there. Wonder if a bit of config is needed? Click on HTAFC, then General then you should be able to see the sub board Politics and Current Affairs

Political threads have been removed from the main OT board this morning. Are they moving somewhere else or are we back to banning politics? The Politics sub board has been re-instated. It is in the general section

Admin Is it possible to display the old politics Board in "view only" mode? I haven't tried this before - but yes I believe it may be possible. I will discuss with my fellow admins and I might try this tonight when its quiet.

Could we wait for Wagner if for one reason or another he can’t join until November? Could Chicho hold the fort? Or if that’s the case do we just move on? We wait

What do you suggest we do? I too go straight to the David Wagner thread to see if there is news? Nope, just hot tips regarding curry - because there is no news. I assure you when the man signs there will be plenty to read about. but seriously, that's part and parcel of football humor. If we were to try and regiment the board with an iron fist there would be far more complaints of too much admin interference. You can never please all of the people all of the time. Sorry.

Fair play to the lad. Hopefully the next manager can get a top performance out of a Rudoni Camara combination. Could they be the new Mooy - Billing combo

Whether we agree with it or not, The PL is not just the sole preserve of England (and Wales) anymore. Unlike the old First Division. It is a global entity that just happens to be based here. No surprise they do not need replays. If I am being honest, neither do I - I like a good penalty shootout, and I like getting a decision on these things. However, here are a few suggestions to help the lower clubs. If a PL side is drawn away to an EFL club, the EFL club gets to keep all of the gate receipts. If an EFL club is drawn away, they get to keep the majority of the gate receipts - say 75%. In addition, the EFL club gets a ticket allocation up to 50% of the ground capacity, not just a tiny block in the corner. That should keep everyone happy. UTT

Don’t get the Carrick link at all. On coaching staff at a club with one of the biggest budgets in world football. Never experienced the Championship. Why would anyone consider him to be able to hit the ground running with us? Or have I missed something? Yep.. Totes agree.. Comes across as a Reyt wet lettuce 🥬.. Got to be the kaiser.. Anyone else would be a massive anti climax for me.. We want Dave..times 6 🍻 Updated it for you Drum before my scrolling finger packed in....

I am just chiming in here to say that this subject concerning Sorba came up before and we were able to contain it before it got out of hand. Lets not get carried away with it and as someone pointed out become a duplicate twitter trial. Threads and posts remain, but it will only take one over zealous individual to ruin it for everyone.
