Eh? The pm was intended to invite you to come and have a chat about club and "business" that's all. I got the impression you felt we were tipping the balance the wrong way? To go into it in great detail could take me hours with my typing! Door's open

The Wrongboy - not sure how to copy and paste
But the simple answer is the Examiner is NOT banned and we encourage balanced reporting - simple.

Good point (even though I am unsure what 'their' side of the argument is?)
We are happy to have a special relationship with the local media if its in the interest of the Club (and before anyone comments we appreciate the importance of balanced reporting!)
Our focus is the success and development of the Club.
At one end of the scale we could ban all interviews and put them in the programme and in so doing increasing revenues for the Club but common sense has to prevail and find the right balance. Equally we can't be always giving away our crown jewels!
Not sure how we are being pathetic?

A message form our ticket office "Contrary to some postings on DATM the game at Notts County is All Ticket and tickets are on sale at the Galpharm until 4 pm on Friday. It is the Carlisle tickets for the Carling Cup on Tuesday that increase by £2 on matchday."

It's fantastic reading that some DATMers are considering becoming a Knight of Yorkshire. Let me help to push you over the line. As you know the YAA needs £7200 a day to keep the Helicopters in the air and at last night's do Paul Gowland of YAA praised the efforts of Town supporters in the fantastic achievement of raising over £120k. He also added that he was certain through our collective fund raising we have saved at least one life! For anyone that gets involved in the Knights campaign they will receive the full backing of the Keep It Up team which includes, not only staff from YAA but Mark Davies and Cammie Batten here at the Club. What's more as I am sure the cyclists of last year can vouch for, the Club will look after you and make sure you receive the recognition you will no doubt deserve. Raising £1000 is not easy but it can be split across the 12 months and can be done through a number of initiatives. And as we have said if you raise £1000 we will give you a free season ticket. The initiative can also help you - this is a great opportunity to do something that you have always wanted to do - it maybe that you want to get fit - try a sponsored swim or lose weight, sponsored slim - whatever you chose - enjoy it and make it a challenge. A couple of years ago, I would have classed myself as one of those people who sponsored friends and family or put money into bucket collections. Having done the Cycle Ride to Southend it was one of the best things I have ever done and gives me a sense of pride in knowing that I have got of my arse and did something! In simple, get thinking, get signed up and get saving a life! www.htafc.comthanks for your support

Hi all
We are trying something new with these 'sign up to the newsletter and get early news on signings'. Effectively trying to continually build our database
In posting before the official announcement, this in turn kills the idea stone dead and effectively costs us money in the long run.

Soft underbelly is exactly those four above points plus the likes of...
Use of our brand too easily diluted away from the club and in return not being maximised Some commercial deals could be improved A more aggressive edge to our sales was needed We were in danger of a club repeating itself year on year - we sometimes need to be hard on ourselves to improve Sales and revenues were being lost Looking for the competitive edge in everything we do (on and off the field) Seizing the day
We have said it before that mistakes are likely to be made but in making a mistake we will learn and move on. In my experience its those clubs that make mistakes then shy away from being innovative in the future are the ones that will struggle.
I personally believe... try and fail, try and fail, but the true failing is failing to try!
As for the marketing of the season ticket early bird then on reflection maybe we would have done things slightly differently but we are where we are and we move on. Next season it may be different.
Rest assured however this is a club moving in the right direction - and that is not rhetoric!
