I would like a 4-1-4-1 formation with Hogg either dropping back to make a back 5 so Thomas doesn't have to, or pushing up into center mid to allow Rudoni to get further up
Turton Lees Helik Naka .........Hogg......... Thomas Kasumu Camara Rudoni ........Ward.......
Bring on Rhodes, Tino, Holmes as imapct subs

All I can read there is yer ken the Broons We used to get The Sunday Post when I was a young kid, probably as a consequence of my Dad living in Dumfries when he first came from Ireland. It was also the reason why I remember their ‘keep a six off your card’ feature in the sports pages. I wasn’t remotely interested in golf back then, but as I came to enjoy golf I fully understood why people were so proud at having achieved that… 😁 I still start every round with the mindset of keeping a six off the card. Its by no means an easy thing as you have to par all the par 5's

Did anyone else notice that Brazil substituted Alisson, to bring on the third choice keeper. It meant that every squad member got some minutes in the group stage.

Starting the same 11 against USA was criminal in my book. Risking Kane with a dodgy ankle. We should have used more fresh legs, won that game, won the group and had a dead rubber against Wales which we could have won with the second 11. Instead we run the risk of burning out our best players, accruing yellow cards and weakening ourselves for the quarter final against France. So Southgate's fear of using his squad doesn't do it for me. That’s a lot of ifs and buts, obviously you are not a fan of Southgate but that’s a bit of a convoluted story 😀 I don't dislike him personally, I think he should sometimes be a bit braver. Maybe the savagery of the British media has something to do with that.

I am hoping that this is Southgates last campaign - win or lose. he is just too defensively minded, when we have so much attacking talent. If I see Stones and Maguire passing it back and forth because there is no center midfield outlet there is going to be trouble at T'Mill. He’s the best tournament manager we have had for over half a century. Town were boring for the majority of last season but didn’t see people complain at Wembley. Like I said, it’s all about the result. I’m not arsed for going all out attack just because we have an abundance of attackers, that’s a one way ticket out of this tournament. Starting the same 11 against USA was criminal in my book. Risking Kane with a dodgy ankle. These crop up on datm from time to time but as we are often told don’t click on unknown links online. My question is do datm verify this sort of thing as it’s potential for scams. If you look at the responses, you can see that some people took part and enjoyed doing so. I for one never partake in these things. Do I feel we need to just delete these - I am not sure, its each persons responsibility to decide. Your browser should detect malware ( well mine does.)

Wishing him & his family all the best. It is impossible to compare players of different generations, I just would love to see Pele with modern day training, diets etc. (& Cruyff also if banned from smoking!) Let's just all agree he was a sensational player & wish him well. It's the same in all sports - different era's/technology/opponents/media coverage/personal fitness as above Federer/Nadal - Sampras - Borg/McEnroe - Perry Woods - Nicklaus/Palmer/Player - Hogan - Old Tom Morris MVG - Taylor - Bristow/Wilson/Lowe O'Sullivan - Hendry - S.Davis - F.Davis Hamilton - Senna - Schumacher - Lauda - Hill - Fangio Cricketers - too many! Footballers - too many! Rugby, Basketball, American Football, Baseball,Fishing? Might all be the same, but I know nothing about them..... Then there's Athletics and Winter sports! Still not comparable over the decades I've been alive, more about the quality of opposition regarding medals. World records get beaten with time in all diciplines... Exactly! when Rodger Bannister broke 4 minutes in 1954 he was the greatest of his generation. Now its 3:43 - poor old Rodg wouldn't even get a mention.

Is it though? Please tell me what he has done more than lets say De Bruyne, Aguero, Lewandowski, Mbappe, Sarah, Mane etc. Yet they talk like he is the best in the world. Agree, HUGELY over rated player is Neymar. Dont think ive ever seen him play without wondering what all the hype is about. Neymar is a great player, unfortunately opinions (IMO) are skewed by all the theatrical diving crying and rolling about. I watched Messi get pummeled by the Aussies today, especially early on. No theatrics, gets up, puts the ball in the net. Different gravy.

Quite simply, as a collective, we decided to instigate it as a trial to see if it would be noticed, and if it was, would there be objection to it. As with all things Graham, change occurs. It's not as simple to say swearing is allowed, you know some words carry more gravitas than others. In addition, before its suggested, we do not envisage a poll where people can cherry pick words from a humungous list.

If you have not already done so, take the BBC Tuesday name the Premier league player quiz on their sports/football page. Its normally quite hard, but there is a belter in there today that will warm the cockles of your heart.

SLAM Find a suitable wall connected to an end of terrace house . Take turns to aim the ball at the wall. Scarper when the house owner comes out after you. That's it, if you failed to hit the house when it was your turn you were out.

The English language is a fascinating subject. Does anyone know whether the term was just a northern thing? I Googled both 'bug liner' and 'football bug liner' and not a sausage which makes me think it's a vernacular term. www.thefootballramble.co.uk/forum/viewthread/7456It gets a mention in here, as well as some other blasts form the past. Wembley, now I recall playing that. And SLAM.
